About Declan:

I graduated with a BA in Applied Psychology from University College Cork. My undergraduate thesis investigated potential relationships between schizotypy, latent inhibition and cannabis use. After my undergrad I completed an MSc in Behavioural Neuroscience in University College Dublin. My research there was focused on establishing whether alexithymia was accompanied by a disturbance in embodied social processing. I have been working in the Whelan Lab as a research assistant since March 2023. My work here is focused on exploring physiological markers of arousal (EEG, ECG, eye-tracking) during an object recognition memory task.
